H&M: The Hiring Process

Ok, I have been waiting to do this until I knew if I got the job or not. So obviously if I'm posting this it means I got the job. YAY!!!!! I am so excited.

During this whole process, I would look online to see if there was any information about the whole hiring process and while there was some, it wasnt detailed enough for me. So in an effort to help the next person who is inquiring about the process, I am explaining it in this post.

There were a total of three (maybe four) interviews. Confused? Let me explain:

The initial contact I had was over the phone. This is pretty much a phone screening that will either qualify you for the next step or not. The questions were basic, kind of vague. He wanted to know a little bit about my work history, nothing in detail at this point. After I answered his questions he set me up with the first face to face interview.

The first interview (or second) took place at a local bagel shop because our store has yet to open. I interviewed with a store manager and a recruiter. These questions were a bit more detailed. He (manager) went over my resume, he wanted to know why I wanted to work at H&M. I was asked to give examples of a time when I had to make a difficult decision. I had to give an example of when I gave great customer service. It was also at this interview where availability was talked about, wages were talked about. I read online that H&M likes open availability, which maybe be true, however I am not available all day Sunday and they were fine with that. I also had to feel out a background check form. I will assume (and I could be wrong) that this is a sign of the next step. I was then set up for yet another interview.

The second (or third) interview was with just a store manager (different from above). This interview was pretty much the same questions. She went a little more into detail about H&M. She informed me of the dress code, which is very relaxed, she interviewed me in jeans. She expressed how strongly H&M feels about personal style. After answering like I said, pretty much the same questions, going over availability and wage, she informed me that there would either be a email telling me that they've decided to go another way or I would get a call for the third interview/job offer. That would take like 2 weeks.

So after waiting two weeks, hoping and praying I don't get an email, I got the call on Monday that they wanted me to come in for the third interview/job offer.

The third (or fourth) interview wasnt really or at all a interview. We went over paper work and there was a lot. I signed my job offer paper. I got my Growth Guide which has everything you need to know about H&M in it. We went over training and since our store here will not be open until my birthday, my store training will be down in St. Louis.

Granted every store's process may vary, everybody's experience will be different. Thats why I didnt go over questions in depth. I can not tell you how excited I am to be a part of H&M. I might do a "day in the life of.." type series. I dont know just yet. I will however try to post sales, new items and such.

Again, this is just my experience and my views.

Thank you for posting this! I have an interview with H&M shortly and I was trying to find a site that explains the interview process, and it is hard trying to find a site that is detailed because you read different perspectives from different people. So thank you for posting!

You are very welcome. I was looking as well for a detailed interview experience and couldn't find one, so I wanted to post this. I love working for H&M. Good luck on your interview.

Thank you so much for posting this. I have a third interview tomorrow afternoon and I'm so nervous.haha If you remember can you please give me examples of what kind of questions they asked you during our third interview?? Thanks <3

BMarie said...

My third interview was my job offer. I signed my paper work and got my employee hand guide. She mainly went over policies and such. I signed my offer letter and got my start date. Which store are you interviewing for?

Anonymous said...

oh okay. I'm interviewing for the store they have in San Francisco on Powell street.

Anonymous said...

I completely read it wrong lol i meant to ask you on the Second interview you had.

BMarie said...

The second interview was basic. They asked me questions like give an example of excellent customer service that I gave, I went over my resume and application. I went over my availability. I can't remember the exact questions, but it was pretty basic.

Anonymous said...

Everyone is welcome! I received a phone interview a couple a days ago and she asked me could she run a background report on me, it was fine. In addition, this is a new store opening I wonder would i have to go on the other two interviews?

BMarie said...

My store was a new store, so it is possible that you will have more then one interview. Even the new hires now, I think are going through at least two interviews. Which store? I now we have one opening in Kansas City and a couple in NYC.

Anonymous said...

I had a interview today. I did the phone and went in person today for another, they said they would call me back in a week a week and a half is this normal im use to getting job offers on the spot :(

BMarie said...

It is normal. I wasn't job offered until my last interview. I was told I would either get a call to come back in or a email letting me know they went another way. In fact in our store now, an applicant doesn't get job offered until the third face to face. So, don't worry, it is indeed normal for H&M to make you sweat a little. Lol. Good luck!

Erika J said...

Thanks for this. I got called for a "third" interview after having the phone, and the group assessment and one on one and It confused me because other people called this third meeting a negotiation. So yea, reading this helped clear things up for me

SharinaClarke said...

This post is awesome! I wanted to ask, did you have to take a group assessment as well? I have one scheduled for tomorrow and I'm quite nervous about how it'll go. They told me not to wear heels unless I'm comfortable and to dress casual. I'm nervous!

1st: I got the call with the phone interview
2nd: I went in for a formal interview with a recruiter and a manager
3rd: I Got called for a "group activity"

I'm applying for a department manager position....

SharinaClarke said...

Thanks for this post! I love it!

I got a call with a brief phone interview and was scheduled to come in. I got interviewed by a recruiter and another manager, filled out a a background check, and was told I'd get a call within 2 weeks. They called me the next day and gave me a "group activity"interview where they said I should dress casual.

Ive never had a "group assessment" before and Im quite nervous about it!
\Did you have a group assessment as well?

BMarie said...

I didn't have a group assessment. I did however have classroom training because our store wasn't built yet. Are you applying to a new store? I ask because my 3rd interview was my job offer. If you are applying to a new store then it maybe a training thing.

Denisah Shonte' said...

Hi just out of curiosity when did the open positions post for your new store? I'm hoping to apply when the new location in Atlanta opens but I'm not sure how long they wait before the positions are posted (for a new store if I make any sense at all) lol

BMarie said...

It makes sense. Looking back at my submissions, the sales advisor position was posted the last of August, but management was posted in July and we opened in November. So depending on the position will determine when the post will go up. Every store is different, I would just keep an eye out like daily cause we are always opening stores. Hope that helped. Lol.

Im excited about ATL now, maybe I can support the opening!

Hello all! I applied earlier this week for a Department Manager position for a new store that is currently being built! Today I received an email to schedule a phone interview. If I understand correctly, from previous posts, the initial interview is work history related questions and availability? Is there anything else I should know about the initial phone screening? How is the pay rate for Department Manager positions? Thank you kindly for all of your information!

BMarie said...

The pay rate, I am not sure. Keep in mind every store maybe different. My phone screening was very vague. It was a little about job history, my background. There was nothing detailed about this screening, this was to determine whether or not to move forward to a face to face interview. I didn't do my availability until my face to face.

I am happy that I found this! H&M is opening their first store in my city and they sent me an email to attend open-house. Has anyone ever been to an H&M open-house? Also, I don't have much work experience...will this be a negative? This is my first real job interview. What happened in the classroom training? I am a bit shy (not to the point where I can't socialize)...will I have to be very vocal in training? Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance :)

BMarie said...

Lol. Its ok, questions are good. I have not been to an open house, so I can't say what that will call for. As far as the in class training, this was because our store was not built so we had no where to train. In class training consisted of powerpoint slides(a lot of slides), going over the history of the company, policies, what H&M expects from you as an employee. We had brief introductions, there were some exercises like customer servicing, setting a table. We went over our growth book( you will get once hired). I am shy to, but keep in mind everyone is new and you are all learning together. As far as your work experience goes, I don't think it will hinder you. We've hired people with little to no retail experience. I personally haven't worked retail in 8 years before H&M. Just kick ass in the interview. H&M is big on standing out and personal style.

Thanks for the quick reply and for the helpful info!

Hii!! I stumbled across this web page as I was preparing for an H&M interview in NYC. I had my interview on July 9th. It was a group interview, they made us sign background consent forms, and made us agree to a drug test. The interviwer said she would contact us between 2-3 weeks if they have decided to move forward with us. It is now July 20th and I really feel that by now I would have recieved a call with a job offer if they were interested. Do you think that I am being impatient? I wanted to email the main person who emailed me to set up the interview to ask when I can apply for a different location (I saw there is an opening on 5th avenue). But im not sure if I should wait till I hit that two week mark which will be Tuesday, or if I should just go ahead. Please let me know!! . thanks in advance!!

BMarie said...

As far as I know, they don't job offer after the first interview anyhow, but each store may be different. I would wait it out just in case it's taking a while for your background to come back. I wouldn't send a email off. It took about a week for me to hear back, that was the time frame they gave me.

Anonymous said...

your right. I will just wait it out! thanks again :)

Anonymous said...

Hi I have my third/fourth interview tomorrow and I was wondering if they had you do a drug test?

BMarie said...

I did not have to do a drug test. And I don't think the new hires we have had to either.

Anonymous said...

so is anyone sure they don't do a drug test? about to apply

BMarie said...

I didn't have to drug test

Hello there... I know this post is a little older but I have a question. I was hired today(I think) for one of the two new stores here in my city at H&M. I am so excited. I am just a little paranoid tho lol. I went through the three stages of interviews also and today the recruiter gave me a paper to sign that said new hire and explained the wage I was offered. I accepted it and she had me sign the paper. I think it said employee signature but to be honest I was so shocked and stunned that I can't remember if that's what it said lol. I just wanted to see if you signed a similar paper as I and does that really mean I'm hired or was it just a form that I signed just in case I was offered the position. I know its a dumb question but I'm just so shocked that I was offered the job... Oh but I didn't receive a book like you tho... I'm just making sure I'm happy for the right reason...

Congrats and welcome to the H&M fam!!! Ok, if I am reading right then I think you signed a job offer letter. I want to tell you that I think I read that we were out of the growth and development guides (the books). So that would explain why you didnt get one. But, yes I did sign a j/o letter. So be happy!!! And again congrats. Good luck.

I guess I was lucky because I only had two interviews. The first one over the phone and the second interview with the store manager in which was very kind and friendly. Then I got a call a couple days later asking if I could go in for orientation on friday (which is today). I am very excited to be working at H&M :)

BMarie said...

Thats awesome! H&M is a great company to work for and easy to develop. Congrats, and good luck.

How are you now, Marie? Thanks for sharing the process you went through before you get hired. The screening process is one of the key factors in having a successful company. Selecting deserving individuals like yourself from other candidates will help the company grow and become better in every aspect.

I applied for the position of the visual mercedaiser so I had the 1 call interview then I had the 2 face to face and now im waiting for the 3 that they say it includes an in store test...do you know what kind of test is going to be?

BMarie said...

I didn't take any in store test and I don't believe our visual did either. There is training that you have to pass either before or after you are JO'd (job offered). But every store is different.

Unknown said...

Did they ask you to bring anything to orientation like a passport or a social security card? I have mine tomorrow and I just I should bring them (since that's what I did for a previous job). Thanks!

BMarie said...

I do believe that is when you fill out your paper work. So I would bring youe id and soc sec card.

Anonymous said...

Hi, on 3/30 I interviewed for H&M face 2 face and I did a BG check she said wait 2 weeks . Today makes 2 weeks your waiting game sounded similar to mines do they normally call on a Sunday if you get the job or not or wait till Monday? I'm so scared and nervous I hope I get this job :/

BMarie said...

Christina, keep in Mind that every store is different, if the hiring manager is in, then it is very possible to get a call on a Sunday, what this call will more then likely be is to schedule time for you to come into the store. This is you "3rd interview/JO" or jib offer. Keep in mind, you can always call the store to see if your background check came back, because that could be what they are waiting for.

Anonymous said...

Ok. One more question pls..... Guessing your the manager now if I'm not mistaken did you have to do the BG process for some of your employees and if so when was the longest amount of time a BG check cleared. I think I'm going to call the store today and ask about my BG check.

BMarie said...

I'm a supervisor so I don't deal with recruitment. I would just call the store and see about your back ground.

Anonymous said...

Hi guys, it's really weird because i only applied last week, and they invited me to come to a trial shift for 9 hours. Yes, 9 HOURS!
I applied for FULL TIME and they said if we were successful or unsuccessful, they would email me in one or two days. It was on the third day where i was like, nah.. im pretty sure i didn't get it, so on that morning, they called me up saying i was sucessful and will send me the welcome pack or whatever. So meaning i got the job.
It's been 2 days and i haven't recieved it at all.. is this normal???

BMarie said...

Truth be told, I have never heard of that process. We dont do it in our store, so with that one, I can not help. I'm sorry. Your welcome pack, I assume is your Growth Guide. This is usually given at the job offers. There is paper work that has to be filled out and kept at the store or sent to payroll. I would call the store and speak with the store manager if you don't hear anything by tomorrow. Sorry I couldn't be any help.

Anonymous said...

Hello so after a 2 weeks and a half my BG check was cleared and they are waiting for one more persons to clear so she can set up a date for a group orientation would you happen to know what a group orientation is ( is it a group inteview) if you know anything to help me out I would appreciate it thanks in advance .

BMarie said...

It's your Welcome To H&M. I goes over the company, you'll get your Growth Guide and fill out paperwork.

I applied online to H&M, because they are opening a new store at my mall. I want to work there so badly and all I've gotten is an email saying my profile is being reviewed to see if I am fit for them. Any tips or advice for me??

BMarie said...

At this point the only thing you can do wait. One of two things will happen, you will either get an email saying there are going with someone else or a phn screen. Being that it is a new store, it make take a little longer to go through apps. It was the same way when I applied, my store was new. Generally you should hear something within 2-3 wks. But likr I said, being it is a new store, it may take a little longer. If you haven't heard bck in 3 wks and you have contact info, you could also call amd check on your app. I hope this helps.

Jiah said...

Thanks for this. A new H&M is opening in my city, I sent my resume in for the open house but never got a reply stating a time that I was supposed to come in so I decided to call. I actually called the wrong H&M and the manager informed me that his store was hiring also. He immediately pulled up an old application that I filled out and after asking if I had time to talk, started the phone interview. He then asked me to come in the next day for a face to face interview lol. I went and the same day, I filled out the background check paperwork. I did not expect this to happen that fast. I do have a clean background so I'm just waiting for them to see that and hopefully I get hired. A lot of people tell me that I have a good chance of getting hired because a company doesn't waste money to do a background check if they had no intention of hiring you. So I'm excited and nervous waiting for confirmation.

BMarie said...

You are very welcome. Dont get to inpatient, it can take a while for backgrounds to come back. But if they are like our storr they are checking daily. Good luck!

Anonymous said...

I wanted to know what you should wear to the interview? I was going to wear the usually dress pants with a collard button up dress shirt and heels but it says to express your style. I just dont want to be overdressed or underdressed.

BMarie said...

My first interview I wore the usual interview dress causal, but my interviewers, one who turned out to be my store manager and our DC who was over recurting at the time, were both kind of causal. By my job offer, the interviewer was in jeans. Ive interviewed a guy and he was in a tank top. H&M is extremely big on personal style. We do have dress code, so dress like you would for work. Be causal, be yourself.

Hi everyone,

I was invited to an H&M job fair next week - what is the wage range for a department supervisor and a department manager? Also, if I applied for a supervisor position and want to apply for a manager position would it be in conflict or do they care?

BMarie said...

Wage is not openly talked about, so there is no way of knowing the average for real. You can visit Glassdoor and get a general. As far wht position to applied for, I guess it depends on the store and the hiring manager if they care. However, you might make it clear in your interview wht position you want to apply for.

Anonymous said...

Hi! This was very helpful, thanks for posting this up! I was wondering about that questionnaire that we had to do during the online application, is it really important? Does that determine if we get called for the phone screening? I'm probably just being impatient lol, it has almost been 2 weeks, so I know I still have time to receive the phone call. I was just wondering about the questionnaire because I totoally forgot how I answered the questions and what type of questions there were lol. Do you (or anyone reading this) haplen to remember some of them? It's okay if you don't :)

BMarie said...

Wow, honestly I dont remember the questions lol, its been like two years. So hopefully someone here can help. The questionnaire for us is like any company's questionnaire in the sense that it helps a company determine who moves forward and who doesnt. If you are not selected, you should receive an email. I cant recall how long it took me to receive mine the first time I applied. But then I went back an reapplied for a different position and got hired. So I would give it another week and maybe call tge store.

Anonymous said...

Hi I'm currently waiting on my background check to come back. Do any of y'all know what they look for on the background check for h&m? I have a misdemeanor that gets expunge after a year and I was arrested for a DUI but not convicted and I was wondering if I should pass it and if they only look for felony charges?

Anonymous said...

Hi there! I had my first in person interview at h&m last week (Aug 19th), and filled out a background check. The manager told me I should hear back from them within a week. It's now Aug 28th, and I haven't heard from them yet. I'm thinking of calling up the store to see if my background check went through and if I'll be moving on to the next interview or not. But I'm not exactly sure what I should say to them when I call. Do I just ask to speak to a manager? And what should I say to them? Hope to hear from you soon <3!

BMarie said...

Ok,I am gonna try to address the last two comments best I can. I personally dont know what is looked for on a background check. The last comment, it is ok to call the store. I would ask for the store manager first, or any available manager if the store manager is unavailable. Tell them your name and when your interview was, and tell them you are calling to check on your background check.

I just got hired at my local h&m, yay! Your post was very helpful! My first day is coming in a few days and I was wondering what I do on my very first day. Is it more paperwork and watching videos, or getting hands on training? I'm very excited to work sith the company! And what do I do when I start my shift? Should I just go to someone and let them know it's my first day? Or ask for a manager? Sorry for all of these question haha, I just don't want to make a mistake on my first day :]

Anonymous said...

I forgot to add on my last comment lol. When I was hired, they gave me the Growth Guide with all the booklets, and papers to take home for me to fill out and bring on my first day. I was wondering if I also bring the Growth Guide to my first day? Thanks again!

BMarie said...

Congrats!!!! Unless you've already had it, your first day is orientation. Which consists of paperwork, videos, a tour of the store and your safety walk, you should also be introduced to your trainer. This day should be easy, short and sweet. As far as your shift, you should just be able to go and clock in. You will be scheduled with your trainer, so they will take care of you. I hope tht answered your questions. Again, congrats and welcome.

BMarie said...

Yes, and the paperwork.

Anonymous said...

Awesome! Thanks for the very fast response :]! Do I clock in at the register? Or should I just ask for someone's help :]?

BMarie said...

No problem. Ypu dont clock in on the register. That should be covered in orientation.

Anonymous said...

Hi, your post helped me a lot, and I was able to get the job at h&m! I'm very excited to start! My orientation will be in a couple of days and I was wondering if that is the day I can start using my employee discount? And do we get a card for that? I think I read somewhere else that we don't get a card to purchase items at our home store until our training is up. I just wanted to know which is correct lol. Thanks a lot!

BMarie said...

Congrats and welcome to the H&M fam. Your discount starts the day you are hired. You do get a staff card. You use it at your home store as well as away. When you receive the card can vary. It depends. I just got mine this year and I have been with the company for almost two years lol.

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the reply! So excited to start :D! So if I want to buy something at my home store, do I just tell the cashier I work at h&m?

BMarie said...

If you want to make a purchase in your home store a manager has to do it, so they should already be aware of your employment. If by chance a manager is not on the floor, then yes tell the Sales Advisor tht you are a new hire.

Anonymous said...

This is probably the most random question you'll have on this post since everything is mainly about the hiring process.. I just needed a quick answer, and I don't come into work until Monday. I was wondering about the part time workers paydays. Is it a set date every other week? Or does it depend on when people have started working. I could have sworn I'd be getting paid today, it's almost 7:30am, and my bank account doesn't show a deposit from h&m. My first day/orientation was Sept 9th. Maybe it will show up later in the day and I'm being impatient hahaha. I just wanted to make sure if payday is today or not.. So I know of there is something wrong and I'd need to address it with my manager. Thanks for reading this!

BMarie said...

Payday is every other Friday. I dont know when your paydays are. So you may need to talk with your manager, part time gets paid on the same fridays as fulltime. You may not get paid until the 3rd.

Anonymous said...

Hey there! I was wondering what happens if I lose my paycard? Can they just give me a new one? And will all my money still be on it? Thanks girl!

BMarie said...

Call and have your card cancelled. Once they issue you a new one, it should have your money on it.

Anonymous said...

Wow! Quick reply, thank you!!! Do I need to call payroll or tell my managers to cancel the card? Can I just do it in person, because I'm working on Wednesday and I was thinking of doing it that day. And will they issue it to me right away? Sorry for all of the questions haha, I'm kind of scared to ask for a new one! But thank you for taking the time to answer!

BMarie said...

You need to call the company who issued the card, like for example Total Paycard through Money Network. They are the ones who will cancel the card.

Anonymous said...

Ohh I see! Thank you for that information! So helpful :)!!! Last question, will they mail me my new paycard after I cancel my old one? Or will I get it from work? Thanks again sooooo much!

BMarie said...

They will mail you a new one.

Anonymous said...

Hii! So I just got hired as a seasonal part timer for 3 months. At the end of my 3rd month if I decide to stay, and if they decide to keep me and promote me to part time, will my $/hour go up a bit too? Or will it stay the same as it is right now? This blog post helped me a lot with my interview, thank you for posting this! I'm vert excited go work for h&m!

BMarie said...

You are so welcome. As far as I know your hourly will stay the same. The only time it will change is if you position changes or a merit increase.

Unknown said...

Just wondering if H&M drug tests. I had an interview today and submitted all the inforinformation needed for a background check and should get a call within a week for a second interview, should I be worried about being tested at all?

BMarie said...

They didnt when I was hired

Anonymous said...

Happy New Year! This post was extremely helpful. I have a phone screen scheduled for tomorrow. What type of questions should I be prepared for?

BMarie said...

Happy New Years! The phn screen is very basic, it asks about your wrk history current and/or past, ur availability etc. Very basic.

I got called for a phone interview today & told to come in for a group interview this week. 1)what can I expect & 2) is a group interview the same as group orientation

Unknown said...

What to expect when h&m calls you for a group interview ? Is this the first interview

BMarie said...

I would imagine so. I dont know too much about group interviews. We dont have them. I do believe that you will get one on one.

Unknown said...

Ok it's been 2 weeks & I haven't heard anything from them but my h&m store isn't open is that normal?

Yes it can be. Especially if they are waiting for the background to come back.

Hello , I got part- time job in H&M , sign contracts 25 days ago but nobody haven't call me to start a work yet, I was in store yesterday and menager told me that they don't need stuff currently in store where I aply for but maybe in another store they need so I must waiting for his call, is it normal because I was waiting over a month since I signed my contract and got a job so this is very strange for me, sorry for my bad English :)

Hi, I put in an application for H&M about 5 days ago, and got a phone interview the next day. It seemed like they guy really liked me but he said it takes about a week for them to get back to me.

Everywhere I've read it seems like people get set up with the first interview right away, but this did not happen in my case and I'm not sure if he was using that "we'll get back to you in about a week if you're a fit" as a way to let me down easy.

I want to build my career at H&M, and ai am very experienced so I'm having a hard time being patient amd calm about it lol

I haben't received an e-mail or anything saying I haven't got the job but I don't know if they do that for phone interviews

Just wondering if there's still hope for me or not!

Honestly, I have never heard of someone signing paperwork and waiting over a month to start. Usually you get hired, sign paperwork, have an orientation and maybe wait a week depending on the schedule. So this is strange to me as well. Sorry, I can't be any help with this one.

When I was first interviewed I was told I would get an email if they werent interested or a call if they were. I never got an email. You can call the store maybe and see where you are in the hiring process, and if they tell you the samething, it is possible that they have chosen to go another way. Or you can stalk you email for another week like I did...lol

I am in the same situation as you were. I just had a phone interview too! They said the same thing. Did you end up getting invited to a second interview? Did you get hired in the end?

Hey I recently went to an interview I believe things went great. Is it a good sign if the took my info for a background check?

I was hired as part time sales advisor and would like to know how I can move up to be full-time or how long it takes to establish a full-time position?

It depends on your store, and your own work. Every situation is different.

Hi I was hired as well,do you remember what website we need to go to to complete the assesment that was talked about in orientation?

I don't remember the actual site, its e learning is all I can remember. You should be able to ask the manager who did your orientation or look in your support guide.

Hi I loved your post about this hiring process and wanted to know a few things . so I applied to 3 locations that were posted online and received an email stating to come to an open house interview that didn't include which H&M I would be interviewing for , fast forward to now I got a call for a phone screening *unexpected yet expected* lol but now to my question , he asked the basics , my availability and things and said theyll get back to me in 2 days because he has to give my availability etc to the recruiters , Is this normal ? I read that you got an interview after the phone screening so I'm kind of confused ://

Thank you. It could be normal for that store depending on their needs. Each store and store manager is different. My store was brand new, not even built yet, so our hiring needs were urgent lol. And it may also depend on what your availability is as well. Mine was open. So dont get to worried about it. Good luck!!!!

Yes my availability is completely open , I think maybe because it's NYC it's a little bit different. Thanks for the help :)))

Love this post !!! I have a few questions. So I went to a recruitment event and there were managers from several locations there , they broke us up into groups of 5 and 2 managers interviewed us *one asked questions the other took notes* after they interviewed us they had us sign BG checks , I wanted to know what the process is after that ? Like they asked us which locations we wanted to work at and stuff I believe the interview went well . Do we have to wait for a store manager to contact us to interview us from that store ? .

Hi I have a question. Does h&m check credit when doing the background screening? I'm just curious because I signed a background screening for them to send in but I have horrible credit so I'm nervous about it coming back bad. I know they use sterling as a lot of companies do and some companies check credit and some do not so I'm nervous whether or not h&m does. Thank you!

Hi quick question. Does h&m do credit checks along with their background screening? I signed for them to send in a background check on me and I know they use sterling as a lot of companies do but I just don't know if they check credit like some companies do. Thank you!

If they did, I wouldn't have a job😉
